My 18th Anniversary & a note from David, my husband

This is my 18th anniversary. Time goes super fast. My kids now are already 10 and 12 year old. This time,we celebrate with our kids. Our lives couldn't be better. We thank God for how He takes care of us day by day and His endless grace's always all over us. Every day is a miracle to us.

Jacq teeth turned all black eating the squid ink pasta. We all laughed watching each other's teeth. Hahahaha

I'm wearing a detachable apron-like collar. So I can match this collar to any other t-shirt in any other color. For me, it's a smart invention.

Happy anniversary!

We just celebrated our 18th anniversary this week! We had a lovely dinner with our sons. We shared our meals. We shared our stories about our life. We shared some jokes. And, most importantly we shared our love with each other. That’s pretty much why we enjoy every moment in our marital life. We share and we enjoy together whatever we have. We believe that sharing everything will keep us more united and bonded as a family. Also, sharing would keep everyone at the same level of importance in our family. Be that as husband and wife, but also as parents and children.

Surprisingly, I kind of feel that our children being a little bit older now , show more support in our romance life. They always want to see that their parents loving each other, holding hands, showing affection and so on and so forth. They seem hurt themselves if they feel that we are a bit harsh with each other over a disagreement between my wife and I. I am so happy that they felt that way.

These past 18 years of our marriage were not always smooth sailing. And, the years to come may not be free of storms and thunders. However, I believe that this bond of love that we have will stand it all because we have got each other’s back. And we are really looking forward as we grow old together that our children will continue this value in their life.

Bali Huge Wedding

Why do I call it huge wedding? The bride and the groom invited thousands of people to attend their party at Sally's father's new hotel in Bali, The Rich Prada. Most of the guests don't live  in Bali, so the couple provided all the accommodation for all of them in some other hotels since there were not enough rooms in their own hotel to accommodate all the guests and not to mention all transportation for all of them too. They had a booth with team who welcomed the guests at the airport to show them in which hotel they're placed. Even there was an event organizer doing all the arrangement, but still it must have been complicated to organize thousands of people.

They hired the wedding decorator from Jakarta to fill the two ballrooms in the same time and, they even imported some food from Singapore. Some make up artists are from Surabaya and Jakarta to buff all the ladies in their big families.Etc......

Most of all, I think it's one huge miracles to make this beautiful party happen successfully. For example, the day before was raining and they worried that it was going to rain on the wedding day. But with the help of some friends who prayed for this party, everything just went well according to their expectation. Thank God!

The Beauty of Christmas

I like taking picture of Christmas trees. So I post some Christmas decoration from different places during my holiday to Korea and Hongkong. I waited till I got home uploading these pictures because I did not bring my laptop with me.

This was taken in my first hotel (Grand Hyatt Incheon) before we went to the mountain the next day.

I like this Christmas tree, it's girlie. It has a touch of silverish soft dusty pink ornamant. It was at the Duty Free Shop (Soul)

This tree for me is just ordinary only happen to match my bag :) Carrolien and her husband invited us having dinner at a really nice restaurant inside Grand Hyatt Hongkong.

I love this one's full of toy story's character. Cute and cuddly. Too bad I forgot to shoot very near because I was in the rush and the place was crowded full of people who wanted to take pictures also. So I just cropped the picture but it didn't come out clear :(

The two pictures below is at the back gate of the harbour city mall. Every year they always decorates different things. The last three years I always took pictures there. This time they put a huge bow in front. So eye catching!

My favorite is this Ferrero Rocher Christmas tree. It's very bright at night. Every morning they have somebody fix whichever plugged out by the visitor. Maybe it's so cute and they want to bring home. Hahahahah

These two whole decoration were at the K11 mall in Kowloon. Just found out about this mall this trip. Carrollien's husband told us.

Tuhan sangat mengasihimu sampai Dia mengirim Yesus dalam misi menyampaikan pesan kasih. Natal mengingatkan bahwa Tuhan adalah kasih. Ini bukan berbicara bahwa Tuhan mempunyai kasih, tapi Tuhan sendiri adalah kasih.

God created the entire universe. He created this planet; he created the human race; then, he created you because he loves you.
Tuhan menciptakan alam beserta isinya . Dia menciptakan planet ini; Dia menciptakan manusia dengan berbagai suku dan ras; kemudian Dia menciptakan anda karena Dia mengasihi saudara.

It could be said the reason you’re alive is because God created you as an object of his love. God made you so he could love you and so that you could love him. God’s love for you is the reason your heart is beating right now; it’s the reason you’re breathing.
Bisa dikatakan Dia menciptakan anda karena anda adalah obyek bagi Dia untuk dapat dikasihi/ di sayang-sayang. Tuhan menciptakan anda untuk dapat mengasihi dan anda dapat mengasihi Dia juga.
Kasih Tuhanlah yang menjadi alasan jantung anda masih berdetak sekarang dan juga masih bernafas.

God’s good news is that he loves you on your good days as much as he loves you on your bad days. He loves you when you can feel his love, and he loves you when you can’t seem to feel his love. He loves you regardless of whether or not you think you deserve his love.
Berita bagusnya adalah Dia tetap mengasihi anda dalam masa suka dan duka. Dia tetap mengasihi anda waktu anda dapat merasakan kasihNya ataupun tidak. Dia tetap mengashi anda walaupun anda merasa tidak pantas menerima kasihNya.

There is nothing you can do that will make God stop loving you. You could try, but you simply can’t do it – because his love for you is based upon his character and not on anything you do or say or feel.
Tidak ada hal yang dapat memberhentikan Tuhan untuk mengasihi anda. Anda mungkin mau mencoba meniadakanNya tapi anda pasti tidak bisa melakukannya karena kasihNya itu berdasarkan memang karakterNya dan bukan berdasarkan oleh apa yang kita perbuat, capai atau apa yang kita rasakan.

God loves you so much that he sent his only Son, Jesus, into this world, “so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NLT).

God’s love surpasses all human knowledge, and it is difficult for any of us to grasp the width and length and height and depth of God’s love for each one of us (Ephesians 3:17-19).
Kasih Tuhan melampaui segala pengetahuan, dan sukar bagi kita untuk mengerti betapa lebar,betapa panjang, betapa tinggi dan betapa dalamnya kasih Tuhan untuk kita semua. (Efesus3:17-19)

How would your life change if you deeply believed God loved you? Ask God to help you in your unbelief.
Bagaimana ini akan merubah anda jika anda sangat percaya bahwa Dia mengasihi anda? Mintalah Tuhan untuk membantu anda untuk mengatasi ketidak percayaan akan kasih Tuhan kepada saudara.

This Too Will Past ( Yang inipun akan berlalu)

Pada suatu hari,seorang Bijak meminta seorang tukang emas yg tua renta membuatkan cincin bertuliskan,"Tuliskan kesimpulan dari seluruh pengalaman dan perjalanan hidupmu agar menjadi pelajaran bagi hidup saya".

One day, there was an old wise man asked a goldsmith to make gold ring engraved the words about the conclusion from every journey of his life and become a good lesson for him.

Berbulan-bulan si tukang emas ini merenungkan kalimat apa yang pantas untuk diukir di cincin emas ini. Akhirnya, si tukang emas itupun menyerahkan cincinnya pada sang Bijak.

For months, the goldsmith was thinking and thinking what he could engrave on that gold ring. Finally the goldsmith found the right words and gave it to the wise man.

Dengan tersenyum, sang Bijak membaca tulisan di cincin itu, "THIS TOO, WILL PASS" (DAN YANG INIPUN AKAN BERLALU").

With the smile on his face, the wise man read the words on his ring,"THIS TOO, WILL PASS".

Awalnya sang Bijak tidak terlalu paham dengan tulisan itu. Tapi, suatu ketika, tatkala menghadapi persoalan hidup yang pelik, akhirnya ia membaca tulisan di cincin itu "DAN YANG INIPUN AKAN BERLALU" lalu ia pun menjadi lebih tenang

In the begining, the wise men did not really understand. But one day when he was going through a difficult time, he read those words on the ring, "THIS TOO, WILL PASS",then he became calm.

Dan tatkala ia sedang dalam keadaan senang, secara tak sengaja ia membaca tulisan di cincin itu "DAN YANG INI PUN AKAN BERLALU", lantas ia menjadi rendah hati kembali.

While he was happy, he read the words,"THIS TOO, WILL PASS". Then he humbled himself.

Ketika kita sedang hadapi masalah besar ataupun sedang dalam kondisi terlalu gembira, ingatlah kalimat "DAN YANG INIPUN AKAN BERLALU"

When we are facing big problems or even when we are too happy, we have to remember these words, "THIS TOO, WILL PASS"

Tidak ada satu pun yg langgeng.
Jadi, ketika kita menghadapi masalah, tidaklah perlu terlalu bersedih.
Tapi, tatkala kita lagi senang, nikmatilah!
Ingatlah, apapun yg kamu hadapi saat ini, semuanya akan berlalu.

Nothing will remain the same forever. So when we are in big problems, we don't have to be very sad. When we are happy, we just enjoy the moments. Remember! Whatever happen in our lives will past anyway.

Karena :
•tetap SEJUK di tempat yg panas..
•tetap MANIS di tempat yg pahit..
•tetap merasa KECIL meskipun telah menjadi besar..
•tetap TENANG di tengah badai yg paling hebat.. &
THIS TOO WILL PASS!!!

Because:
•stay cool always.
•stay sweet and not bitter.
•stay humble even when you are big.
•stay calm even in the middle of the storm.

Holy Matrimony

Finally, my beloved customer Sally ( whose bag and shoes was on my older post) got married. Yeeeey! Sally is my best friend (Ineke)'s daughter. I can't believe she has a son in law already. Sally and Stephen had two events for her wedding. One is the Holy Matrimony at Bethany Church and lunch party at Shang Palace. The second one is in Bali, I'm going to show you in the next post.

These girls are the big flower girls while there are two other smaller flower girls. All the flower girl dresses are detailed with handmade chiffon corsages.

Here are the small flower girls. They are both Sally's younger sisters.

Pink Flowy Floral

For some of you already know this is my sister in law also my partner,Warren. As usual she's always more dressed up than me. This pictures were taken in Bali in the afternoon. The weather was hot, but she still managed to look buffed & pretty. I myself so lazy to dress up when the weather's hot especially in the afternoon. You can see the way I dress up in my previous post of Bali trip.

This is the first time that Warren (my sister in law and also my partner in business) are going to a wedding party without husbands. Her husband is not feeling well and mine still have a late business meeting. So both of us take Gwen, Warren youngest daughter with us which happens to be useful because she's the one who takes a picture of us. Not bat huh, for a seven year old girl :)

Warren is wearing a maroon chiffon blouse with flower corsages as the ornament of the neckline. And, Kwanpen clutch which she put extra swarovsky crystal on the gold detail.

I'm wearing a long black pleated dress with a flower embroidery on the chest. I feel so comfortable wearing this because it's loose fitting so I don't have to sit straight inside the car and also I can eat a lot during the party. Hahahahah.

This is the back of my dress which I put layers of pleats as the design for the back.
